  1. Insync error

    • Details:

      • ExecutablePath:

        /usr/lib/insync/insync

      • Package:

        insync 1.3.22.36179-precise [origin: unknown]

      • ProblemType

        Crash

      • Title:

        insync crashed with SIGABRT in __GI_raise()

      • ApportVersion

        2.20.1-0ubuntu2.16

      • Architecture:

        amd64

      • CoreDump:

        (binary data)

      • CurrentDesktop:

        XFCE

    • Tried updating insync

      • The command

        sudo apt-get update insync
        

        yields the same version (1.3.22.36179).

      • However, according to the Insync website the newest version should be 1.4.5.37069

      • Therefore, followed directions from the website as follows:

        1. Modified the file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/insync.list to correspond to Ubuntu version 16.04 LTS:

          deb http://apt.insynchq.com/ubuntu xenial non-free contrib
          
        2. After this, run the update and upgrade commands with apt:

          sudo apt-get update
          sudo apt-get upgrade
          
        3. Insync was then up to date (1.4.5.37069-xenial).

    • Upon reboot, problem ???

  2. Matlab error for desktop (but not for )

    • Error message when opening through terminal:

      Real-time signal 0
      
    • Solution??

  3. Default web browser (epiphany) error:

    • Details:

      • ExecutablePath:

        /usr/lib/epiphany

      • Package:

        epiphany-browser 3.18.11-0ubuntu1

      • ProblemType

        Crash

      • Title:

        epiphany crashed with SIGSEGV in malloc_consolidate()

  4. VNC server

    • Haven’t resolved
  5. Backup drives on chalkboard:

    • Removed the barrettlab folder in /media/shareXBU (this was an older version of the fishfish barrettlab backup)
    • Moved the baylisslab folder in /media/shareXBU to /media/barrettlab_liseBU
