- Installed Windows 10
- Burnt the Windows 10 ISO image (available in
/media/shareX/Softwareon fishfish) on a Boot DVD - Pressed
F11at startup, then chooseEnter Setupto enter BIOS - Changed
Boot PriorityofUEFI CD/DVDto the left-most position - Restarted the computer with the Boot DVD installed
- Chose default settings (English, US) for language and keyboard, clicked
Nextand thenInstall Now - Accepted terms, then chose
Custom Install, then clicked next with default location being the 1 TB solid state drive (Crucial_CT512M550SSD1) - Upon prompt, chose
Use Express Settings - Created the account adam with password same as that of fishfish (this seems to be important for Samba access to the servers)
- Restart, enter BIOS, and changed
Boot PriorityofHard Disk:Crucial_CT512M550SSD1to the left-most position
- Burnt the Windows 10 ISO image (available in

Registered the computer to the UVA network
- Retrieved the MAC address via these instructions:

Opened a command prompt by typing
cmdinAsk me anything -
Typed in the following command:
ipconfig /all -
The MAC address is after the line that says

- Used the Installation DVD that came with the MSI motherboard
- Installed Microsoft Office
- Created a directory called
SW_DVD5_Office_Professional_Plus_2016_64Bit_Englishunder\Users\adam\Downloads - Extracted the installation files (available in
/media/shareX/Softwareon fishfish) to the directory created - Clicked on
setup.exe - Agreed to terms, then chose
Install Now
- Created a directory called

Installed PClamp11
- Inserted the PClamp 10 USB dongle provided by Mark
- Downloaded the PClamp 11.0.1 installation file from this site
- Installed PClamp 11.0.1 Software, clicking OK for everything.
